I Human Resources and Personnel Management in the U.S.
Workshop I examines typical U.S. labor law fundamentals ranging from the employee handbook and fringe benefits to special company benefits to modern working methods.
II Customs Duties and Foreign Trade
Workshop II will highlight new developments in the trade negotiations between the U.S. and China, as well as import regulations with regard to German goods, TTIP as a central project in transatlantic relations and the USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement).
III Market Expansion and Local Investments
Workshop III examines issues relating to the market entry of German medium-sized companies into the U.S. and planned local investments. Special focus is placed on the identification of possible hurdles, opportunities and strategies for a successful market expansion as well as regulations for M&A.

IV Legal Framework
Workshop IV will highlight current developments in U.S. visa and immigration law, as well as organizational and corporate standards, and will answer questions regarding product liability and company foundation in the U.S.
V Education / Training Schemes
Workshop V will focus on the topic of dual education, especially German training programs for the manufacturing industries, as well as exchange programs between universities.
VI U.S. States Representatives
Workshop VI offers select U.S. states the opportunity to present themselves to an international audience and highlight their respective unique selling points with the help of short pitches.
